Xtina Kicks Off The Barefoot Booktour!

I drove to Portland OR this weekend through a horrific storm to the Beaverton Borders where I met Marcy Dodge, the 2004 Romance Writers of America Bookseller of the Year! It's obvious why she received this great honor -- she puts on a terrific booksigning, is so welcoming (I got a wonderful bag of goodies!) and loves romance. That's her and I beaming together after the signing. There was a standing room only crowd for my speech (they laughed at all the right places, bless them) and we had a great autographing afterward.

One lady brought every one of my books to have them signed! That's the most flattering thing that can happen to an author. Her name was Valarie Pelissero -- believe me, after twenty-nine I remember how to spell her name. :) She wrote a review of THE BAREFOOT PRINCESS which is going up on Rakehell.com (I loved the part where she said THE BAREFOOT PRINCESS was "the movie RUTHLESS PEOPLE meets Regency England.")

I also handed out Squawk Radio postcards to everyone there, so if you're visiting the Squawkers for the first time, welcome! And some already established Squawkers were there, and how great to meet you! Also there was Dan Eichler, the Borders Area Marketing Manager, second from left, and Tom Luce, former romance buyer for Borders, forth from left. Thank you to everyone for coming. Your kind comments made a rainy, blustery day turn sunny for me. I love you all!

Now off on the second part of my tour. Check out the schedule and locations at http://www.christinadodd.com/signings.htm .
